When using the bearing protectors over filling the hub with grease will cause grease to be pushed past the seal at the back of the hub. High performance vehicles that drive through water regularly will need water resistant grease to protect the wheel bearings from oxidization. It s a good idea to do this regularly to prevent any damage or trai.

Be sure to follow the manufacturers directions for properly filling your hubs with the bearing protectors. But in addition to the primary tapered roller bearing in the hub there is also a needle bearing that supports the axle shaft on front driven wheels in the f 250 and several other f series trucks.
