Both these substances are used commonly and in some cases their mixture will be used for doll creation. Judging by dollfan and other doll sites some love the silicone and some like the silicone vinyl. Because silicone oil is super slippery and minimally reactive it can lubricate most anything. When properly installed silicone foam firestops can be fabricated for building code compliance.

Flextouch vinyl is also much more durable against rips and tears than silicone and doesn t require powdering because it is still soft to the touch like gentletouch vinyl.
