Our other porch light is downstream on the same circuit and is working fine.
We have lights but no power.
Woke up this morning and none of the lights in the house are working power points are fine though.
The light fixture does not use the ground to power the lights.
He s also tested to make sure there was power coming to the bulb socket and sure enough there is.
It gets pretty dark out there so we havent really made much use of the space at night which is a shame.
The most likely reason for your power points not working when your lights are ok is that your safety switch has tripped.
Electronic models have a child lock out feature to prevent the dishwasher from accidentally being turned on.
Not sure what could be causing it it has never happened before.

We d love to make more use of our large balcony except there s no power outlet out there or even lights above.

Unplug and remove from the power point simply switching off the power point will not work the last electrical appliance that you were using and try to reset the safety switch.

If your dishwasher will not start but has power light or sound then there are a few things you can do to get the dishwasher to run again.
This is not a very common point of failure but your pc might not be turning on because the power button isn t properly connected to the motherboard.
Sometimes a loose connection will make a crackling noise.
Checked the elec box and there are all separate switches one is for the lights turned it off and on again but no luck.
I bet you tested for power to the ground.
If it doesn t work but you have power the neutral may be the problem as suggested.
If so that tells you that the switch is still the issue.
A loose wire connection can cause the wire to overheat eventually causing the connection to fail.
Make sure the power switch is connected to the motherboard if you re using a desktop.
Of course we tried changing out the bulb but no light.
No power to outlets flickering lights or an intermittent loss of power are usually attributed to a loose wire connection if the circuit breakers are working properly.
Now to check if this is the real problem go to your switch board and check out your safety switch.
