Hi have you tried disconnecting the car battery for 10 mins then re connecting to see if it reboots the door control modules bit like rebooting a computer also all the door control modules can be read with a diag machine to see if they are logging faults with the door latches and also the convience control module can be read with a diag machine to see if it is. Prompted by this thread i did a bit of googl ing which led me to opening the window so i could work the indoor and outdoor handles at the same time. On a passat thread that slamming the door a few times or punching near the door handle would re seat the cable mechanism and fix the issue. Can t find anything on google to back this up in fact all i can find is stuff saying it s only the front doors that must open but as the garage i went to halford s autocentre said they couldn t actually fix.
